Color is the spice of life. Here at Wisconsin Exotics Aviary we believe that the color of the bird says a lot. The diet that the birds are fed has a lot to do with this, along with good breeding. A quality diet of seed, pellet, and fresh veggies are key to healthy birds and are offered to all the birds all year around.
We work with color mutations of Australian Grassparakeets ( Bourkes, Turquoisine, Scarlet Chested and RedRump Parakeets) All color combinations of Pied Cockatiels Australian Grass Finches such as the Gouldian Finch. We also raise American and English Budgies a few Green Cheek ,Half Moon Conures and some new additions Linneolated Parakeets. For us color is a blast.
Quality is the key to success. The birds are paired for their temperment, conformation, and of course their color. With all these criteria to meet, selection of the best stock is critical when it comes to breeding Quality. WE DO NOT cull the birds here, birds that hatch and don't meet these requirements are priced accordingly and either sold to fellow breeders or sold as a potential pet or aviary bird.
If there is an issue with the bird we will be the first ones to tell you why we're selling it and why it doesn't meet our standards. Once in a while we do get in some spare birds that are included in a group that don't fit in with the current breeding program and price those accordingly as well.
Diversity keeps us on our toes. We currently raise 5 species of Grasskeets, Australian Finches includeing societies, 8 mutation colors of Cockatiels, American and English Budgies, We have had or have had under our care upwards of 30 species. There are plans to bring more species in but space and time will dictate when. If we don't keep the species you are looking for we can usually find it. We only deal with experienced, professional breeders with which we believe have the same ethics as we do in the development and sustainability of Avian species in a captive setting.
We are a family owned and operated Aviary. Family matters and the birds are family as well. Through 26 years of avian experience that includes training, transport, management and husbandry, our goal is to provide our customers with excellent after sales support for your Handfed Pet or Aviary bird. The time we have put in to the selection of the stock shows in the quality of the bird as well as the color and temperment. We have chosen quality now its your turn!
